Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) Has Had a Lot of Work Done. Why?

I have a confession to make: I have been long on Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) running for President for a while. That’s because she has had more work done on her political personality this past year than Michael Jackson had done on his face during the ’90s.

Specifically, Sen. Gillibrand has been turning hard left from the early days of her career when she bragged about her “A-rating” from the NRA, touted her support for a balanced budget amendment, and declared that she was “firmly against providing amnesty to illegal immigrants.”

Now days, it looks like Sen. Gillibrand is pulling the old Mitt Romney 2012 routine, which is what I call it when someone puts her political personality under the campaign consultant’s knife, and becomes a totally a different person to prep for a tough race. You might remember when Mitt did this in the 2012 GOP Primary: suddenly, the former-Governor of Massachusetts, who basically invented Obamacare, was a rootin’, tootin’ right-wing psychopath trying to make Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich look like moderates.

For Sen. Gillibrand, a Romney-style personality transplant makes lots of sense. That’s because she has a record of being a reasonable moderate, which is going to get her into big trouble with the Trump-hating Democratic base that is practically howling for leaders who will, “impeach the motherf*cker” or perhaps, “lock him up.”

Also, just like how Romney had to defeat certifiable wingnuts like Rick Santorum in 2012, Gillibrand’s competition for the Democratic nomination is probably going to be a murderers’ row of hardline progressives like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and YouTube star Beto O’Rourke. I definitely understand why Sen. Gillibrand is looking for a fast, surgical solution to her political personality problem. She just doesn’t have enough time to tone those progressive muscles the old fashioned way.

So let’s look at some BEFORE and AFTER photos of Sen. Gillibrand’s political personality transplant.

As you can see, there is no question about whether or not Sen. Gillibrand has had some serious work done on her by the political doctors. The only real subject for debate is why. Given that Gillibrand is not up for re-election until 2024 and that she is still basically standing on the street corner preaching the Gospel of Wokeness (see her Dec. 8 tweet above), I’m thinking this one is easy money. She’s running for President.

I can’t wait to watch her moonwalk through this election.
