Cynical headlines make the easiest clickbait, so it’s with a heavy heart that I must announce that Ukraine is absolutely kicking Russia’s ass right now.
This good news is producing a lot of new questions about the war in Ukraine and how it might end (or escalate). According to pundits, some combination of the following are possible:
- A rapid collapse of the Russian army
- A massive expansion of combat once new conscripts get to the front
- A long, endless bloody stalemate
And the DOOMSDAY prediction…
- Putin might use nuclear weapons in a last-ditch effort to save a war that his forces are losing
Yikes.
